AM5N Version: A great balance of upgradability and performance

The UltraCat 76 Traveler Imaging All-In-One Kit bundles the William Optics UltraCat 76 with the ZWO AM5 mount and ASI2600MC AIR to deliver a portable and powerful deep-sky imaging setup. Shed most of your cables — the camera, guider, and computer are all together inside the ASI2600MC AIR! Just run the AC adapter to the 2600 Air, and the included DC cable from the Air to power the mount. No more cable management nightmares! This package is everything you need to get started imaging.

NOTE: While this is a full Astrophotography package, it is not an all-in-one smart telescope. Equipment setup and configuration is still required. If you want push-button imaging, shop our Smart Telescope options.

The combination of the ASI2600MC Air and UltraCat 76 delivers a 3.69° x 2.46° field of view, perfect for large nebula targets, the Andromeda Galaxy, and more.

UltraCat 76 Traveler Imaging Kit Includes:

  • UltraCat 76 Astrograph
  • ASI2600MC AIR
  • AM5N Harmonic Mount
  • TC40 Carbon Fiber Tripod

AM5N Mount

  • Supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
  • Cable management to prevent cable entanglement. Saddle integrates DC output and USB Type-C port to effectively prevent cable snags. The unique design ensures that the internal cable will not be twisted and worn when the DEC rotates.
  • Improved ease of use. The AM5N's carefully machined parts makes it much easier to set your altitude and azimuth settings, enabling a more accurate polar alignment with less effort.
  • High-load mode. In order to counter the impact of low temperature operating environments on the performance of the mount, the App has a new high-load mode.

Dual Mount Style
ZWO has designed the AM5 mount with the capability of switching between equatorial or alt-azimuth mount modes. You can switch the mode through the included hand controller or through the app on a smartphone or tablet. The body of the mount comes with a status light indicator that will indicate whether the mount is in an equatorial or alt-azimuth mode— a red light signals the AM5 is in EQ mode and a green one for Alt-Az. The equatorial mode is great for imaging celestial objects while the alt-azimuth mode works well for visual observations.

Two Mount Control Options
When it comes to controlling the AM5 mount, astrophotographers can use the included hand controller or use the Bluetooth or WiFi connection and wirelessly control the mount from a smartphone or tablet. Included is a rocker style hand controller. The size of the controller makes it easy to hold and use while the rocker style design allows the mount to be pushed in multiple directions. For the wireless control function, users can utilize the integrated WiFi network emitted by the hand controller and use Tonight's Target, GoTo, Live Preview, and others to pair with the ZWO AM5 mount. Please note that in order to utilize the WiFi, you must plug in the controller to emit the signal.

Harmonic Drive Speed Reducer and Synchronous Belt
The incorporated Harmonic drive speed reducer and synchronous belt allow this mount head to have precision control. While a traditional equatorial mount requires counterweights for use, this ZWO mount's harmonic drive speed reducer and synchronous belt eliminate the need for counterweights, though they can be added if desired (an M12 thread interface is available for compatible, user-supplied counterweight shafts). Having this design allows for more accurate control and a reduction ratio of 300:1.

Power Failure Protection
The AM5 EQ/Alt-Az mount head from ZWO is equipped with a power brake system. If there is a sudden power failure during use, the AM5 mount power failure protection design will prevent your telescope from falling and being damaged. This is feature is very important when it comes to the well-being of your imaging equipment. By triggering the brake system to stop the mount's movements, you will be able to maintain your equipment's balance and safety.

0-90° Latitude Adjustment Range
This ZWO AM5 mount comes with a 0-90° latitude adjustment range. For the first gear, adjust the pitch angle grip to achieve between 0° to 60°. For the second gear, loosen the hex-head screw and adjust the pitch angle grip to get between 45° and 90°. Not only does this allow astroimagers to use the AM5 in alt-azimuth mode, it also allows those in both low and high latitude locations to use this mount when in equatorial mode.

ASI2600MC Air

The main sensor IMX571 features an APS-C format and 26MP total pixels. The size is 23.5mm in width x 15.7mm in height, and the diagonal is 28.3mm. The 3.76um x 3.76um small pixel size accommodates an impressive full depth of 50ke. With the new hardware technology, it is even extended to 73ke.

Guide Sensor

The SC2210 sensor taken from the ASI220MM Mini camera features very high sensitivity. The QE peak value reaches 92% at 500nm. The read noise is as low as 0.6e. As the new generation of guide sensor, it has achieved great results in guiding, proved by hundreds of astrophotographers.
