The tube rings have been artistically designed with stalks that are lengthened, providing ample room for devices like cameras without colliding with the dovetail plate. For easy mounting onto an equatorial mount, the FMA230 comes with a Vixen-style dovetail plate. The plate has a central slot for attachment to a tripod, which is convenient and helpful for ground imaging and observation. 

For astrophotography, a detachable handle has been added to the OTA that can also be used as a base for attaching finders, guiders, or ASIAIRs. The handle contains 45° Arca-swiss style slots, allowing for easy attachment to a Arca-swiss clamp on a camera tripod.
